I’m a student, musician, proud feminist and a member of the LDS Church. I have a dear space in my heart for Mormonism and members of the Church, and I find it incredibly heart wrenching to read about the struggles and pain that other women in the Church have experienced due to sexism. I believe that many of the inequalities that women experience within the Church would be alleviated by the ordination of women to the priesthood.

While studying church history regarding the ordination of women, it was like a light bulb went off in my head. I had never found the answers about why women couldn’t hold the priesthood to be satisfactory, and through personal study I came to know that there is no reason for a gender segregation of priesthood authority. I am a Mormon, and I believe that women should be ordained.
