Hello, my name is Chelsee. I have called southern Utah my home for 10 years now. I am currently finishing my degree to become a math teacher and I have a beautiful husband and kids that consume my life with happiness.
Being raised outside of Utah, with no certain religion practiced in our home, I am very open minded to religion. I appreciate the values and sense of family that the LDS faith has to offer. Yet I could never join a church that doesn’t treat their women as equals to men. In today’s world this should no longer be an issue, unfortunately it is. As for me right now, I cannot move forward with a religion that treats members this way. I know if the fight continues the Church will understand women are equals and maybe I could be baptized. I have faith in God as much as anyone reading this post and I have faith he loves us all as equals.
I believe women should be ordained.
