Hi, I’m Kim. I live in Lethbridge, Alberta. I was baptized when I was 8, but my parents joined the Church only 3 years prior. I was the first person in my family to serve a mission. I have served in various leadership callings (Elders Quorum President, Young Men President, Ward Mission leader, Ward Clerk, Executive Secretary, Stake Mission Presidency) and teaching callings (Gospel Doctrine, Primary, Seminary). I’m currently an Elders Quorum instructor. I own a marketing company. My wife and I were married in the temple in 1995, and we have 6 children.

I’m Mormon because several unique tenets appeal to me: an anthropomorphic God who is intimately familiar with the mortal experience, the feminine divine, continuing revelation, personal revelation, the concept of zion, and so on.

Women should hold the priesthood because it would be a testament that the Church actually believes that women and men are equal. The Church certainly says they’re equal, but practically, they’re not. Husbands and wives should be able to jointly heal their children. Wives should be able to bless their husbands. Daughters should be able to home teach with their mothers. Plus, there is absolutely no scriptural support for women being denied the priesthood. In fact, if anything, the scriptures support female ordination with instances of prophetesses.

I believe women should be ordained.
