Hi, I’m Tim. I was raised in the Catholic Church.  Growing up, I found the prohibition of ordaining women as priests to be unsettling and counterproductive. That policy is often foremost in my mind when I describe myself as a former Catholic.

Later, I married an active LDS woman, and upon visiting her church I had similar reservations about the limitations placed on faithful women. I have no problem acknowledging broad differences between men and women. However, I cannot in good conscience participate in institutions that insist on systematic separation and discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation. In just a short time, I have met a large number of devout  Latter-Day Saint women who — if ordained — would greatly strengthen and enhance the clergy and leadership of their church. I believe that women should be ordained.
