Je m’appelle Floriane, je suis française.
Je suis mère au foyer, j’ai un master d’ingénieur en thermodynamique et un master en business et administration. J’ai 26 ans et deux enfants. Je suis née dans l’église.
J’ai servi dans une présidence de société de secours, des jeunes filles, j’ai enseigné dans divers classes à la primaire et je suis maintenant missionnaire de paroisse dédiée aux francophones en Russie, dans une paroisse internationale.
Mes dotations et mon mariage au temple m’ont énormément touchée. Je garde un souvenir fort de ce jour où une femme m’a imposé les mains et où mon grand-père, militant féministe, m’a scellée à mon mari.
Je suis en faveur de la restauration de la prêtrise telle que les femmes l’exerçaient quand la Société de Secours a été créée. Je crois en la même organisation que celle qui existait dans l’église primitive, savoir : Diaconesse (Rom 16 : 1), Prophétesse (Luc 2 : 36-38).
J’appartiens à l’Église de Jésus Christ des saints des derniers jours parce que j’ai le témoignage qu’elle est dirigée par un prophète de Dieu. J’ai un grand témoignage de la prêtrise et de son pouvoir. J’ai connu lors de mon appel dans la présidence de Société de Secours, le changement de manuel d’administration 2. J’ai alors eu, au cours d’une expérience spirituelle singulière et puissante, le témoignage que même la partie administrative avait été inspirée par Dieu.
De ce témoignage est né en moi le désir profond de soutenir mes dirigeants et d’obéir aux instructions de l’Église, même quand elles me semblaient incomplètes, même quand je savais qu’un dirigeant avait tord. Quand j’ai posé en prière des questions, il m’a toujours été répondu de faire entendre mon avis, puis de me soumettre à celui qui avait autorité sur la question. C’est dans cette optique que s’inscrit ma démarche.
Tout comme celles qui ont créé la société de secours, je joins ma voix à celle de mes sœurs et je demande humblement au prophète de prier au sujet des femmes. Je crois que les femmes devraient être ordonnées.

I am a French stay-at-home mother, I have a master’s degree in thermodynamic engineering and a master’s degree in business and administration. I am 26 and have two children. I was born in the covenant. I have served in a Relief Society presidency, a Young Women’s presidency, I have taught many different classes in Primary and I am now a ward missionary serving French speaking people in an international ward in Russia.
My endowment and my wedding in the temple were very touching events. I hold onto strong feelings from the moments when a women put her hands on my head and when my grandfather, an ardent feminist, sealed me to my husband.
I am in favor of a restoration of the priesthood as the women performed it when the Relief Society was created. I believe in the same organization that existed in the primitive church: prophetesses (Luke 2 : 36-38), deaconesses (Romans 16 :1), and so forth.
I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have a testimony that it is led by a Prophet of God. I have a strong testimony of the priesthood and its power. When I was in the Relief Society presidency, I saw changes to Church Handbook of Instructions, vol. 2. I had, on this occasion, a unique and powerful spiritual experience and received testimony that even Church administration was inspired by God.
From this testimony, I developed a great desire to sustain my leaders and obey the instructions of the Church, even when they seemed incomplete, even when I knew that a leader was wrong. Each time I prayed about it, I was told to raise my voice and, after, to follow the individual that had the authority. It is in this pattern that I raise my voice today.
Like those who founded the Relief Society, I join my voice with the voices of my sisters and humbly ask the Prophet to pray about women’s issues. I believe that women should be ordained.
