Hi, I’m Brandy. I was baptized 15 years ago. I served in many different callings including the Primary presidency, Cub Scouts and Young Women’s, but my favorite calling of all was compassionate service leader. I love quilting, serving, graphic & web design and going to the ocean with my four kids and husband. I come from a long line of very strong women. I never thought there was anything I couldn’t do. My grandmother was a preacher who loved God with all her heart.

After I joined the Church, I learned how to suppress the strength I learned from my mom, aunts and grandma. It was worth it to be a part of the Church. I was very devout and active until last year when it became too painful. When I showed support for loved ones who are gay and support for my feminist sisters, my inbox was flooded with such hurtful emails from members. I was devastated. I then began studying about feminism and the LGBTQIA community. I am now proud to say I am a feminist and I support all LGBTQIA. I have seen how the inequality in the Church has hurt and continues to hurt the progress of the church as a whole. I believe women should be ordained.
