My name is Brian. I am in my mid-40’s, have been married for 23 years, have 6 children, and have been a member of the Church my whole life. I graduated from seminary, attended BYU for a year, served a mission to Germany, was married in the temple, and have served in many Church callings from Scout Master to Elder’s quorum instructor. I have served active duty in the Army, and later went on to become an accountant. I currently work at a construction materials manufacturing company.
The issue of women having an equal voice in the church affects my family, and it concerns me greatly. My wife and three daughters have many talents and skills to share, including leadership abilities, but they do not feel like they are taken seriously in our religious community. So they put their time and energy into other places. We are missing out on the talents and gifts of half our people.I believe our Church needs to explore the topic of ordaining women to the priesthood.
I believe women should be ordained.
