Mormonism was very empowering for me growing up as a young priesthood holder. I was told I had the power of God running through my veins. I was told I had the same power that the prophets of old had and that the male prophets of today have, the power that God used to created the Universe.
I loved being able to represent Jesus as I blessed and passed the Sacrament. I loved being able to baptize those I cared about on my mission and participate in that life changing event with them.
And more than anything, I loved laying my hands on the heads of those I cared about and feeling as if a higher power was working through me in order to comfort those I loved.
I hope that my spiritual sisters in Mormonism will be able to have these same experiences someday in a way recognized by the LDS Church as legitimate.
I believe women should be ordained.
